As I've been wanting to read more for the last year or so, (this excluding fanfiction, manga, etc), this would be just a running list of currently read/have read and recommended reads to encourage myself.

Expect a lot of classics and non-fiction, as well as some form of review/comment.

Just got back from the doctor. Apparently, I've been going around with a fever and a respiratory tract infection of some description for these last few days. Awesome.

Obvs no photos due to this, will get back to them once I can go more than 5 minutes without a coughing fit.

ETA Oh snap, Malfoy.

Intricate title here.

Just doing my timetable for uni. Oh man. I can already feel my workload being x2 of what I did at Griffith just by looking at the subject names;

Semester One:

Working in Business.
Law and Ethics.
Financial Accounting.
Management Accounting.

Semester Two:

Economics.
Taxation Law.
Computerised Accounting Systems.
Financial Planning.

On top of 22.5 - 25.5hrs of work per week (the mortgage doesn't pay itself now 8|)... I can already feel pain D:. Help me.

Here is a quick sketch of a cat. I have never drawn a cat before. 8|.

I think I channeled Louie, Bec!. )

Here are some more photos from the Christmas meet. Edited this time. This'll be pretty much what they'll look like when I post the entire set BY THIS WEEKEND (PROMISE TO SELF).

Lea, Li, and Caitlin; please step forward. )

I've been fiddling around with these, along with other, photos for awhile - both trying to perfect my post-processing, as well as learn some new tricks. Needless to say, I'm quite satisfied with the results, (and Michael is suitably impressed 8D).

ETA: Photos pilfered from [info]skytrial's facebook. Myself and Sally on NYE at The Beat. Oh, The Beat. How long has it been? One year?. Alcohol tolerance, where have you gone ;__;.

Aristocratic indeed. )

Oh yeah.

Now I desperately need to get my Griffith transcript and apply for credit. Goodbye, Griffith, you lousy shit-pit!. Goodbye bus that takes me there!. Goodbye bushland that makes me think I'm back in Townsville...! And now, more importantly; who else on my flist goes to QUT?.

8).

Quick post!.

Hamster reading.
I didn't manage to do very much at home today, seeing that I was taking a nap sorting other things out , so here are some preview pictures of Sunday's meet to keep people satisfied until then *_*;. Please keep in mind that these are largely unedited...!. Huge pictures under the cut.

BUT YEAH. The pancakes following were great, too. Though I feel kind of bad that I didn't get to talk to the new girls as much as I wanted. I probably looked like a bad host ;__;.

Sorry I haven't been able to respond to comments and the like!. We had the phone guy come out today to hook us up to the phoneline so we know that works. But idk how long it will be to actual internets.

Anyway, Michael and I were walking home this afternoon, and he was being mean to me. So I kicked my thong/flip flop at him to have it fly over a fenced off house and then he was stuck carrying me home 8(. /random.

Junk.

Omg!.
We got our plane tickets refunded!.

... It would have been 4 days until we headed off to Japan though.

... For three entire weeks.

... Still hurts.

... :|.

That said, Michael's already having us save for a trip at the end of 2010. Here's to hoping the economy'll be better, though I don't think we'll be seeing 100 yen to a dollar for some time. But who knows, I guess.

Anyway, moving on. Michael and I previewed the photos taken at the 11am meet on Sunday. In a word: Stunning. Michael believes they surpass those taken at the Wonder Party hands down. That said; a lot of wonderful (...lol) photos were taken that day, too - so I guess those previous ones came to set the standard in comparing newer works. But yeah, having a completely controlled envirnoment made things a lot easier, a lot more enjoyable, and it all resulted in a lot more better photos.

Also the fact that we weren't practically two days away from any sort of deadline helped, too. xD.

All the giddiness aside for said photos, I now have two batches to edit. Lol, fuck. :|. I want to put both sets on one disk to give them to the appropriate people. But whatever I manage to do, seeing as WP may be published, I can probably hold on to those a bit longer. Idk. I'll see what I can do tomorrow while I'm waiting around for the guy who's meant to hook us up to the 'net.

In other epically exciting news (rotfl), a rep from Hitachi and Global construction dropped by our office - seperately of course, competition. Anyway, Hitachi guy left a box full of safety vests, shirts, caps and jackets emblazened with their logo. And Global left a diary, a cooler bag, BBQ tongs AND A SIX PACK OF CROWN LAGER, LOLWUT. You can guess who'd I'd pick to buy equipment parts off (if I were in the position to) (ps. I don't drink).

BTW - MICHAEL, WE HAVE THE BIGGEST HITACHI BAG IN THE WORLD. I CAN QUITE POSSIBLY FIT ME IN IT. :v.

I really shouldn't be posting at work.

ETA: Hitachi also gifted us with mince pies and a whole pecan cream cake!.

ETA 2: And also a HUGE thanks to Li for being the most organised person in the world ;_;. And also the sweetest ♥.

Furnishing - Michael's 1st post~

Finally, some quick photos of our home as is - with furniure! Please excuse the cardboard curtains, which will stay there until the end of February 2009! D; All coming together quite nicely.

Ignore the cardboard )

Also I completed my first CPA study unit (Reporting and Professional Practice), and managed a High Distinction (HD) - fantastic considering I didn't even complete the damn exam!~

So damn busy. Haha.

Lmao, Brisbane lolita, there MAY be a slight delay with those pictures after all. I said I'd have them ready on Sunday thinking I had edited them all, but no. The ones I had edited were for GLB.

I desperately need my tablet back. And my Mac for that matter. Doing fine editing on this LG laptop - while trendy looking - is agony. The colours are all wrong, meaning that when I looked at them on Michael's Sony, there was a OMG THEIR SKIN IS ON FIRE moment.

And the touchpad, oh god the touchpad.

If you don't ever want to feel your index finger, by all means, use the touchpad to do fine editing. I want my fingers. ;__;.

On the positive side though, I got an email from Michelle (editor of GLB), asking us how we wished to be credited. Whilst not a definite yes/no/this is the issue number of which these will be in, it's still a rather a good indication. Though I wouldn't get my hopes up until the issue is in my hands, and I'm staring at the photos in there.

In other news, we finally had Victory blinds give us a quote, which doubled up as a kick in the guts. Not only were they quite expensive, but we won't be seeing them till late Febuary. It'll almost be a birthday present for me!. Haha. Again, on the positive side, it'll add value to the place. Capital expense, ftw!.

And this is just for wank, but my uni semester results are as follows: )

/wank.

Also. Mainly for [info]friezaess.

We got a call from Jetstar just the other day. At nearly 7pm at night whilst Michael was driving on the Motorway in the rain. They said they would call us back in the morning, but never did. Wankers.

Hopefully we get the 'net soon, too. The guy comes in on Wednesday to sort it out with us *__*. Downside is that I have to take half a day at work. But internet!.

There are panda on the floor.

If emailing these photos take much longer, I am seriously going to curl up into a ball and cry. I have been sitting here for the last two hours and a half attaching 5MB+ photos to emails, of which I have yet to actually send.

I hope never to do this again in the near future. I also hope sending the photos won't take as long, or I may just have a nervous breakdown/seizure.

The other night, Michael, Timmy and I attended Michael's sister's husbands's younger brother's wedding. ...Yeah.

My precious boy ;w;. )

We should have taken pictures of Timmy in his suit of manliness. It'll be a good few years before we see that again. 8[.

Pictures from the latest lolita meet for Hallowe'en. Fortunately, I wasn't driven crazy with editing this time around. That said though, I'm not as happy with one or two. But on the whole, Michael and I are happy with the turnout.

Please check it out and tell us your favourites. \o/.

Michael and I had to cancel the Japan trip due to the failure of the Australian dollar. Fuck, it hurts so hard. But. Saying that, the money that we had saved up for the trip was used as part of the deposit of our first house.

OUR FIRST HOUSE.

/omfg.

The great Australian dream, achieved. )

When the real estate agent called and said, "Congratulations, you now own a two bedroom apartment," I could barely stop myself from making a fool of myself (wtf) on the train back from work. Haha.

Hopefully, we'll be moving in late November'ish, once the distraction of uni is, well, no longer a distration. But yeah!. I still can't believe it.
